Olivia Blair
Jean
Hi I’m Olivia Blair and I play the lead character ‘Jean’. I studied musical theatre at PASS college but since then I’ve had the opportunity to work on short films, cabarets and in radio dramas. I’m really glad to be part of this production being for Scotland myself and was so happy to see our great mythology getting represented. My character Jean is a great heroine. She’s playful and kind, even listening to Ray’s stories when she’d rather not. She’s open minded and creative, and very close with her Grandma which was nice to see.

Aileen
Playing Aileen in Hildaland as an Island Grandmother was a joy. She’s a cool Granny with a secret. I loved that she was a storyteller, as I am too. I am a Scottish Voiceover based in Edinburgh who loves a folk tale and to voice an islands accent is one of my favourites.
Previous Audio Drama roles have been :- Kennedy in The Hidden People, Mrs Grose in The Turn of the Screw, Susan in an episode of Plumforest Podcast and have played numerous characters of all ages, genders and nationalities in story and Audiobook narration.

Nes
Hi I’m Shannon, and I’m the voice of Nes! Nes is a selkie, so imagine if a mermaid and a seal had a baby! Nes is Jeans’ best friend on the island but she has to keep her identity a secret as it’s not safe for selkies anymore.
I was interested in this project because I love Scotland and I have a rich family history from the highlands. I loved playing Nes because I think she’s very complex emotionally and there’s a lot more to learn about her. I hope you all enjoy Hildaland! #BagpipeBarry4Life

I had alot of fun working on hildaland meeting some amazing talent. I was lucky enough to record all of the dialogue and the actors were so good I would sometimes forget to stop recording I was so amazed. Thank you to all the cast and crew especially Emily Smith making the whole experience enjoyable and stress free can't wait for everyone to enjoy it as much as I did
